The BLSA was formed in its present format in 1986 by a group of Speedsailing enthusiasts. Its purpose was to provide Speedsailing sites, a race series, 3rd party liability insurance and to promote the sport. Blo - Karting was added in 2004.

Speedsailing is a class 7 land yacht, Blokarting is a mini Land Yacht as described by FISLY - the international governing body.

This Website has been designed to assist you in getting all the information you need, so that you can get the most from your BLSA membership.

We hope you enjoy speedsailing & Blokarting in safety, taking advantage of all the activities on offer, such as racing in national and international events, fun events, training events. Whatever you get from your membership, please remember to have fun and enjoy yourself and be safe.

As the BLSA we can offer training and teaching in Blokarting and Land Speedsailing, we also offer Instructor courses in both Sports.

We also arrange events, inc British championships and fun events in both sports. We also help co-ordinate with arrangements for UK based Blokarters and Land Speedsailors to take part in foreign Race events.
