Blast - the bloke at HMS Collingwood has just phoned up to cancel - the
base XO is not happy with having non-service personnel on the base
'during the current climate'. Blast blast blast blast blast. BUT he
has given us a contact name for his equivalent at HMS Sultan, as Sultan
has a large field outside the base, that they use occasionally for fetes
etc. The idea is that because it's outside the base, they may let us
use it as they won't be worried about non-service personnel being on a
military base. Ah well. In the meantime I'm going to try Daedelus
again, - the place with the runways. Jane M

Hi all,

I'm in contact with a very nice chap from HMS Collingwood, to see
whether we can use any of their facilities for Blokarting on a
regular basis. At the moment they are thinking about it, but, as
it's a military establishment, they would like to know up front
roughly how many people and how many Karts would be using it.

HMS COLLINGWOOD is in Newgate Lane, Fareham, Hampshire (Near
Gosport/Portsmouth) - PO14 1AS to be exact, for those wishing to look
it up on the map.

If anyone is at ALL interested could they please let me know ASAP: I
need to know how many people and how many Karts there would be.
Also, if anyone has any military connections (friends or relatives
at HMS Collingwood) , or even has been to HMS Collingwood before as a
guest, that would be useful to know.

Fingers crossed this comes off!
