Additional information for Pilots & guests attending The Brits 2017. Llanbedr

Hi and thank you for registering for the British Blokart Open at Llanbedr Airfield.

Please see below for additional information to the Notice of Race.

Airfield access

All vehicles entering the inner perimeter of Llanbedr airfield are required to undergo a FOD (Foreign Object Debris) exam. The exam will be conducted by Ed Delahaye. On entering the Airfield please phone Ed on 07971 580999 and he will meet you by the inner perimeter gate and will escort you through to perform the FOD. Where possible we would like to keep movements of vehicles in and out of the airfield to a minimum. No vehicle is to proceed beyond the hanger.

Motorhomes and caravans can use the hanger to park up. Again Ed will direct you where to berth your vans.

The hanger will also be able to accommodate rigged Blokarts for overnight storage.

Food and beverages

Sandwiches and hot drinks will be available during race days from the hanger. This is on a pay as you go basis.

The Friday registration buffet will be held in the hanger using the briefing lounge. There is no bar available. All participants are welcome to bring their own drink. Payment of £20 will be collected at registration for the Saturday evening pilots meal.

The venue for the Saturday evening Pilots meal has changed. We are now going to use the Llanbedr Village Hall. We have arranged transport from the airfield and back. Transport will start at 18:30. The plan is to start serving food at 19:30. Again the village hall does not have a bar. All Pilots are welcome to bring their own alcoholic beverages to the meal. There is an off license on the main road opposite the turning to the village hall. Return Transport to the airfield will begin at 22:30. I have attached a map overview showing the location of the village hall.

Event clothing

Due to lead times beyond our control for event garments, some participants who registered after the 10th October may not receive their garment at the event. Please be assured that your garment will be sent on to you as soon as we receive it.

No vehicles will be allowed access before 12:00 on Friday.

There is no camping allowed on Sunday night.

Any problems please do not hesitate to contact me on the number listed above.

See you Friday

Ed Delahaye K85

Vice Chairman BLSA
